PALA, CALIFORNIA –As summer starts to kick into full gear, the new Pala Skatepark in Pala, CA is emerging as a hot spot for skateboarding enthusiasts. Since its grand opening in mid April, the park has quietly created a buzz and has become a popular hangout for local youths.
“We are glad to be able to make this facility available to the entire community,” said Tribal Chairman Robert Smith. “At a time when it can be difficult to find a safe place for youths to spend their days, we hope this skatepark will help young men and women stay out of trouble and give them a fun place to be with their friends.”
The skatepark is open seven days; during the summer it is open Mon-Friday 9 am-7 pm and Sat-Sunday 10 am-6:30 pm. From Sept through May it is open Mon-Friday 2 pm-6 pm and Sat-Sun 10 am-6 pm. For just $5 the public can come and skate all day on weekdays and all day on weekends for $10. In addition there is also an annual pass that grants unlimited access for a year for $100.
