The Pala Band of Mission Indians and San Diego County Sheriff’s Department announce the Gun Safety Event at the Pala Admin Building on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Gun Safety Event

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is partnering with the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office, Pala Band of Mission Indians, Pauma Band of Mission Indians, San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians, Pala Tribal Law Enforcement, American Indian Veterans Association of Southern California to get unwanted guns off of our streets.

  • Turn in your unwanted gun and receive a gift card ($100 for handguns, rifles, and shotguns, $200 for assault weapons and ghost guns). Remain anonymous. No questions asked.
  • Firearms must be in working order.
  • Place the unloaded firearm in the trunk of your vehicle.
  • A deputy will provide instructions.
  • All weapons collected will be destroyed.
  • We also provide FREE gun cable locks and security boxes (while supplies last) to people looking to secure firearms kept in their homes.
