About the Tribal Resource Nurse
Heather Pierce has been in the field of nursing for over a decade. Besides being a Licensed Vocational Nurse, she is also a certified Director of Staff Development through the California Association of Health Facilities and a certified Infection Preventionist through the Center for Disease Control.
She has multiple years of experience in the following areas: Geriatric/Elderly, Healthcare Educator, Hospice Nurse, Infection Control and Disease Prevention, County Mental Health, Drug Rehabilitation, and Resident and Memory Care Director. Feel free to reach out to her with any questions or concerns you may have. She is greatly looking forward to meeting and serving the members of the Pala Band of Mission Indians and assisting with the healthcare needs of the community.
What does the Tribal Resource Nurse do?
The role of the Tribal Resource Nurse will assist tribe members with in-home health services and assessments as well as provide resources and education for the overall health and wellness of the community.
