Coping with Crisis: Safeguarding Pala’s Health & Wellbeing in the Face of Climate Change (For Tribal Community Members)
Wednesday, June 17, 2020, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.

Climate change is putting Pala at an increased risk for heat, drought, severe weather, and wildfires. Thinking about these threats to our community can be frightening and overwhelming. The Pala Environmental Department’s Planet Pala team invites you to attend a webinar where you can learn techniques to protect your physical and emotional health and wellness as Pala’s climate changes. This online event will share how Pala is working to safeguard our community from harmful climate change impacts and how you can help protect your family and household. This event features expert guest speaker, Dr. Douglas Walker (Licensed Psychologist), who will provide education on skills that you can use to psychologically cope with disasters.
