Announcement: BUSD Community Meeting

Pala, CA – The Superintendent of Bonsall Unified School District, David Jones, is coming to Pala to have a collaborative discussion meeting with Pala residents regarding the needs and visions of the school district, and to listen to the community’s feedback to better serve the educational needs of the children.

This meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 9th, at 6:00 p.m. at the Pala Administration building, in the large meeting/conference room downstairs.

Announcement: PFD Open House

Pala, CA – The Pala Fire Department is holding their 13th Annual Fire Prevention Open House on Saturday, October 6, 2018. Spend the day with your local firefighters. There is something for all ages to enjoy at this annual event. There will be food, fire safety booths, tours of the site station, fire truck demonstration and much more.

Announcement: NCIDC Work Grant Program

Pala, CA – The Northern California Indian Development Council (NCIDC) is a federally-funded grant program that works with local reservations to get people back to work for $16.00 – $18.00 an hour.

Please contact us if you are looking for temporary work (with a possibility to be hired on full-time through Pala), and you:

• Are 18 years of age or older
• Have two forms of ID sufficient for an I-9 Form
• Are registered with Selective Services if you are a male
• Have a work history but have been unemployed for the last 15.5 weeks out of the last 26 weeks (non-consecutive is ok)
• Are able to perform hard physical labor in storm-damaged areas, such as removing brush
