Firefighter Boot Drive
The Pala Fire Department announces in support of The Burn Institute Annual Firefighter Boot Drive on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the intersection of Pala Temecula Road and Pala Mission Road, Pala, CA.
Please join the Pala Fire Department in support of The Burn Institute Annual Firefighter Boot Drive. All Donations collected will stay in San Diego County to help fund Fire and Burn Prevention programs and the “Camp Beyond The Scars” for children who have been severely burned and disfigured.

In 2025, firefighters raised $216,000 for the Burn Institute’s programs and services, including Camp Beyond the Scars for young burn survivors. Thank you for supporting the Burn Institute’s mission!
Here is how the funds help:
- $25 – Buys supplies for young burn survivors to enjoy while receiving our services
- $75 – Funds a burn survivor family to attend a support group
- $100 – Delivers a life-saving smoke alarm installation in a senior’s home
- $250 – Provides an elementary class with a Fire Safe Kids Presentation
- $500 – Offers emergency family housing when a loved one is at the Burn Center
- $750 – Purchases a compression garment to control scarring & injury
- $1,000 – Supports one child to attend Camp Beyond the Scars
